(World News) In a landmark achievement for the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), the dialogue-driven film “Viyyurinte Naadhan (Lord of Viyyur)” has been selected for the longlist of the BAFTA Student Awards 2026. Significantly, this is the first time in the history of the BAFTA Student Awards that a film from FTII has secured a place on the longlist, making it a historic milestone for the institute.
(World News) The film was created by students of FTII’s Film Wing 2022 batch and was written and directed by Amal P.V. The project reflects the collective creativity of its student team, with Mohammed Aslam handling cinematography, Tathagata Yadav serving as editor, Alia Rabia Aziz leading art direction, and K. Jaysurya Suresh managing sound design.
