(Farmer Loan Waiver) The Maharashtra government had assured that a farm loan waiver would be announced by June 30. However, as the deadline has passed, no concrete announcement or implementation regarding the promised loan waiver has been made. As a result, the government has once again deceived farmers, alleged Sangram Deshmukh, State Vice President of the Farmers’ Wing of the Sambhaji Brigade.
(Farmer Loan Waiver) Speaking on social media, Deshmukh said that farmers across the state are facing severe financial distress and had pinned high hopes on the promised loan waiver. Instead of honouring its commitment, the government has betrayed the trust of the farming community. He further criticised the government, stating that it has completely failed to address farmers’ issues.
(Farmer Loan Waiver) Demanding that the government immediately announce a comprehensive farm loan waiver to provide relief to farmers, Deshmukh expressed strong dissatisfaction with the state government’s handling of the issue.
