7 years of exemplary governance, 7 percent dividend will be paid !

In the current financial year, the Ahmednagar Jilha Parathamik Shikshak Co-op Bank has made a net profit of 8,26,83,255/-. Bank President Balu Sarode and Vice President Ramesh Gore informed that 7 percent dividend will be given to the members after Varshik Sabha, subject to certain provisions. Before the Shikshak Bank Annual Meeting, He was speaking at a press conference organized at Dadasaheb Donde Smarak Mandir. Varshik Sarvasadharan Sabha has been organized on Sunday, September 8.
The interest rate on bank loans was reduced during the reporting year. Presently, the interest rate of loan is 8.40 and 7.90 percent and A.J.P.Shikshak Sahakari is the only bank in the state that distributes loans to such low interest borrowers. The decisions taken since Gurumauli Mandal came to power have been taken only and only with the interests of the members in mind. In the last 7 years, the board of directors has done exemplary governance which was not done in the last 26 years.
Shikshak Bank is the only bank that disburses loans of Rs.41 lakhs to its members. 163 crores in bank deposits during the reporting year. Bank deposits at the end of March are 1459 crores. This is the trust shown by the members and depositors on the board of directors.
Prizes to members and their children from members welfare fund, Medical assistance up to Rs. 25 thousand and funeral assistance of Rs.3 thousand are provided. Loans of deceased members up to Rs.41 lakhs are waived from members loan relief fund. Also, financial assistance of Rs.15 lakhs is given to the heirs of deceased members and employees from Kutumbadhar Fund and Rs.11 thousand gratitude fund is given by the bank to retiring members. Substantial assistance is provided to the members. Vice Chairman Ramesh Gore said that the Board of Directors intends to increase the loan limit of the bank in the coming period.
During the time of Gurumauli Mandal, the Board of Directors has greatly benefited the members by reducing the loan interest rate, maximizing the profit and interest on fixed deposits. The Board of Directors has suggested amendment of the bye-laws as per the suggestion of the Member Debt Relief Fund and the Reserve Bank in the Annual General Meeting (Varshik Sabha) to be held on Sunday 8th September. Also, the recommendation to take ownership of the new Sangamner branch and Jamkhed branch office has been kept for approval, as well as the member debt relief fund, due to the lack of funds to clear the debt of the deceased member, Rs. 1 Crore 75 Lakhs have been recommended by the Board of Directors to be allocated to the Members Debt Relief Fund. Since October 2022, under the guidance of Gurumauli Mandal 2015, the current board of directors is in power of the bank and has taken decisions in the interests of the members and has administered the loan interest rate of 7.90 and 8.40 percent and the interest rate of 7 percent on member fixed deposits with a margin of 1.40. In the past few years, the tradition of chaos in the annual general meeting has been broken. We have conducted the meeting which used to end in five minutes for nine hours. We have resolved to run tomorrow’s meeting as well. The Board of Directors is ready to answer all the questions of the members. The board of directors requested the members to raise their questions and discuss the pros and cons and take the appropriate decisions in the annual meeting.
