(World news) Chhatrapati Yuvraj Sambhaji Maharaj of Kolhapur and his family paid a visit yesterday to the Monte Cassino War Memorial in Warsaw to pay tribute to the brave soldiers of the Second World War.
(World news) The plaque installed at this site stands as a symbol of the historical friendship between India and Poland, a bond built not just through military cooperation, but also through shared humanitarian values. During the war, many Polish refugees displaced from their homeland were given shelter in the village of Valivade by the royal family of Kolhapur. This thread of cooperation and humanity still endures today.
Yuvraj Sambhaji Maharaj and Yuvrani Sanyogitaraaje Chhatrapati laid a wreath at the memorial, honoring all those who endured the painful journey through war, exile, and reconstruction.
