ahmednagar news Dr. Subhash Mhaske, Executive Trustee of the Late Kakasaheb Mhaske Memorial Medical Foundation, announced the approval of the B. Pharmacy course. This announcement was made during a press conference held today.
Providing additional information, Dr. Mhaske shared that the Late Kakasaheb Mhaske Memorial Medical Foundation, a medical, social, and educational trust, was established in May 1983 and formally registered in 1989. The foundation, known for its commitment to education, launched the Parvatibai Mhaske Nursing Institute in 2002. The institute offers R.A.N.M. and R.G.N.M. courses, both approved by the Maharashtra Nursing Council and the Maharashtra Government, with a focus on providing nursing education to disadvantaged, underprivileged, and economically challenged girls in the district.
In 2006, the foundation furthered its mission by establishing pharmacy colleges under the approval of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Government of Maharashtra. These institutions have created self-employment opportunities for numerous middle-class boys and girls, equipping them for careers in medical stores and pharmaceutical companies.
Dr. Mhaske noted that the foundation’s reputation has grown across Maharashtra due to the high-quality education offered in its institutions. Recognizing the need for a degree course in pharmacy in today’s evolving healthcare landscape, the foundation submitted a proposal to the Pharmacy Council of India. This proposal was approved, and from the academic year 2024, the foundation will offer a B. Pharmacy program with an intake capacity of 60 students.
