Setting an example in sustainable farming by eliminating chemical fertilizers

(Sandeep Motkar Award) Adv. Sandeep Baban Motkar, a progressive farmer from Ghotan village in Shevgaon taluka, has been honoured for his outstanding contribution to organic farming. The award was presented jointly by the Maharashtra Agriculture Department and the Ahilyanagar Zilla Parishad during a special programme organised on the birth anniversary of former Maharashtra Chief Minister Late Vasantrao Naik and Maharashtra Agriculture Day at the Ahilyanagar Zilla Parishad.
(Sandeep Motkar Award) By adopting organic farming practices, Adv. Motkar has successfully transformed conventional agricultural methods on his farm. Avoiding the use of chemical fertilizers, he has implemented organic farming techniques, soluble organic slurry, and modern agricultural technologies to improve crop cultivation. His innovative experiments have enhanced both crop quality and soil health, making his farming model an example of sustainable agriculture.
