(Social Work) The Institution Day and Alumni Meet for the academic year 2025–26, organized at the CSRD School of Social Work and Research of BPHE Society, was recently celebrated with great enthusiasm. Prof. Ambadas Mohite, Member of the Maharashtra State Backward Class Commission and President of MASWE, was the chief guest. Dr. Suresh Pathare, Director of the institution, presided over the event.

(Social Work) During the ceremony, former students who have made remarkable contributions to society were honored. Alumni from the 1990–92 batch, including renowned trainer Sebastian Francis, retired professors Prof. Lata Kankaria, Prof. Prakash Patil, and Dr. Usha Lolge, were present along with alumni from the 2005–07 batch working across various sectors.Social

(Social Work) These included counselor Parikshit Patil (Pune), Priscilla Makwan (Umed), HR Specialist Anjali Patole-Salvi, Director of Impact 360 Pratim Roba, and Public Health Consultant Anita Kale.
(Social Work) During the event, a Placement Brochure – significant for students’ career guidance – was released at the hands of the dignitaries.
In his address, Chief Guest Prof. Mohite said that in today’s changing and challenging social environment, there are numerous employment opportunities available for trained social workers. If students combine professional skills with social commitment, they can become effective agents of social transformation. He urged students not to remain merely degree holders, but to become sources of inspiration and catalysts for change in society.Social
Alumni Sebastian Francis shared practical experiences from social work and emphasized the importance of skill-based education. Prof. Lata Kankaria also guided the students and encouraged them to make meaningful contributions to society. The alumni meet provided a warm platform for current and former students to connect.
In his presidential address, Dr. Suresh Pathare reviewed the institution’s progress and called upon social workers to remain committed to eliminating inequality in society. He noted that social workers carry the responsibility of preserving diversity while maintaining social balance.
Dr. Jaimon Varghese and student Shivani Shingvi presented the annual report, offering an overview of the academic and social initiatives carried out throughout the year.
Meritorious students were also felicitated at the event. Abhishek Vasatkar was honored for academic excellence, while Vaibhav Dattangire received the dual awards of ‘Best Student’ and ‘Best Field Worker’ for the year 2025–26.
In the cultural programme, students showcased their talents through traditional dances from Northeast India and inspirational songs. The event was compered by Rahel Shirsath, Vitthal Padar, and Saviru Domeh, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Suresh Mugutmal.
Dr. Suresh Mugutmal, Dr. Jemon Varghese, Dr. Pradeep Jare, Dr. Vijay Sansare, Asavari Zhapke, Vaishali Pathare, Samuel Waghmare, Nazim Bagwan, Twinkle Ishwari, along with CSRD staff and students, worked hard to make the event a success.
