(Art) Theatre lovers in Mumbai will soon have a unique opportunity to witness the talent and artistry of performers from Goa. With the support of the Directorate of Art and Culture, Government of Goa, and Pravin Theatre Mumbai, two grand theatrical productions will be staged at the renowned Shri Shivaji Mandir Theatre, Dadar. The performances are being presented by Gajantalaxmi Sports and Cultural Club, Valpoi, Goa, and Snehanarayan Kalamanch, Valpoi. Notably, admission to both plays is completely free for audiences.
(Art) Historical Drama: Aakashmithi
The two-act historical drama Aakashmithi, which portrays themes of valor, self-rule, and glorious chapters of history, will be staged on Thursday, June 11, at 4:00 PM. The play has received several state-level awards, including honors for Best Direction, Best Acting, and Best Stage Design.
(Art) Written by renowned playwright Vasant Kanetkar and adapted and directed by Hemchandra Narayan Tari, the play is expected to be a major attraction for theatre enthusiasts.
On Friday, June 12, at 11:00 AM, audiences can enjoy Sangeet Yayati and Devayani, a musical drama based on a mythological story. Written by V. V. Shirwadkar and directed by Bhalchandra Usgaonkar, the production is enriched with timeless musical compositions and promises to entertain Mumbai audiences.
Both performances at Shri Shivaji Mandir Theatre, Dadar, Mumbai, are open to the public free of charge. Interested viewers can obtain entry passes from the theatre’s ticket counter, where passes are currently available.
