Progressive Writers’ Association State Conference Scheduled for July 25–26

(Politics) The Communist Party of India (CPI) has begun a series of district-level meetings across Maharashtra. As part of this initiative, the Ahilyanagar District Council meeting was held enthusiastically on June 13. CPI Maharashtra State Secretary Comrade Subhash Lande and Comrade Ram Baheti attended the meeting on behalf of the state leadership.
(Politics) During these district meetings, the party has resolved to build a broad mass movement around issues affecting ordinary citizens. Accordingly, foot marches will be organized in villages across the country from August 6 to August 15 to raise public concerns. In addition, a massive national rally is scheduled to be held at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi on September 1.
(Politics) As part of its outreach efforts, the CPI is currently conducting a statewide public contact campaign titled “At the People’s Doorstep, Dialogue in Every Home” from June 1 to June 30. Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Khet Mazdoor Union (BKMU) is organizing a nationwide campaign, “Save MGNREGA, Drive Out VB-Gram-G”, from June 15 to June 22.
The next phase of the campaign will involve protests at district collector and tehsil offices across Maharashtra on June 23, focusing on the issues faced by MGNREGA workers, agricultural laborers, grazing land holders, and rural workers.
The meeting also resolved to organize camps for 100 primary CPI branches in Ahilyanagar district. Additionally, the state committee of the Progressive Writers’ Association (PWA) has decided to hold its state-level conference in Ahilyanagar on July 25 and 26. CPI workers pledged full cooperation to ensure the event’s success.
Participants reaffirmed their commitment to intensifying struggles over people’s basic issues and conducting various awareness and protest programs to engage directly with citizens in both rural and urban areas.
