(Cultural Politics) Guru Purnima was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Shri Bhavanimata School, run by the Ahmednagar District Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj. The program began with the Aarti of Shri Datt Maharaj and the worship of Goddess Saraswati.

(Cultural Politics) The event was presided over by the school principal, Mr. Sontakke, with senior teacher Mr. Patare as the chief guest. In his address, Principal Sontakke highlighted the importance of Guru Purnima, emphasizing that parents are the first gurus in everyone’s life. He explained to the students that teachers also play a vital role in shaping one’s life and encouraged them to seek the blessings of their parents and teachers daily for achieving success.
(Cultural Politics) Senior teacher Mr. Patare elaborated on the significance of the Guru by explaining the ‘Guru Stotra’ and how a Guru helps in leading a happy and successful life. Teacher Mr. Avhad narrated stories from the Nath tradition, particularly about Machhindranath and Gorakhnath, to highlight the value of devotion to the Guru. Similarly, teacher Mr. Narsale explained the importance of Guru through the teachings of Saint Tukaram’s ‘Abhangas’.
