Sports  In the Firodia Shivajians Interschool Football Tournament, the matches for girls under 17 started on Thursday from 26:00 hrs. The excellent performance of the girls made football exciting on the ground of Ahmednagar college. 6 girls teams have participated in this tournament and these matches are being played in league format.

On Thursday Under 17 (Girls) played an excellent match against Army Public School Athre Patil School. As both the teams were equal, neither team could score a goal even after attacking each other. The match ended in a 0-0 draw.

In the match held at Colonel Parab School against Athre Patil Public School, the players of Athre Patil played an excellent game and scored as many as 9 goals. Vedika Sase scored as many as 5 goals. Neelam Pawar 2 and Alia Syed and Swapnali Shelke scored 1 goal each. Colonel Parab School could not score a single goal in this match. In this, Athre Patil’s team won by 9-0 goals.

In the 14 years age group (Boys) the match was played at Priyadarshini Public School against Sacred Heart Convent. In this, Mihir Gundecha scored 2 goals, Saurabh Khandelwal and Joel Sathe scored 1 goal each from Sacred Heart Convent. Sacred Heart Convent won by 4-0.

In the match played between Urja Gurukul vs Don Bosco, Urja Gurukul scored 6 goals with a strong innings. No goal was scored by the rival team. Urja Gurukul won by a resounding score of 6-0. In this, Prajwal and Gavit scored 2 goals each and Samarth and Tanmay scored 1 goal each.

In the 16 years age group (Boys) Athre Patil School vs. Don Bosco match, Athre Patil School scored 6 goals in a row. Rehan Tamboli scored 1 goal for Don Bosco. Bhanu Chand scored 3 goals, Krishna Temkar scored 2 goals, Yash Gaikwad scored 1 goal from Athre Patil. Aathre Patil School team won by 6-1 goal.
