(Mumbai news) Tejas Harad is a PhD scholar at the Annenberg School for Communication, University of Pennsylvania. He is known for his prolific writings on social issues, caste, and anti-caste movements. He is the founder and editor of The Satyashodhak, a digital publication focusing on social justice themes.
(Mumbai news) Previously, he has worked with The Quint and the academic journal Economic and Political Weekly. In 2019–20, he was a journalism fellow at the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism. His writings have appeared widely in publications including The Hindu, Hindustan Times, The Caravan, The Wire, The Print, The News Minute, and Round Table India.
His ongoing research focuses on alternative media and how it shapes anti-caste public spheres. Committed to Ambedkarite anti-caste goals, Tejas advocates the strategic use of media, technology, and communication tools to advance the mission of caste annihilation.
